OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Originally a pianist, Scott tarted in music at the age of 3 taking lessons from his step-grandfather who was essential in setting up the piano program at the University of Massachusetts. Scott began playing trumpet at the age of 8 and continued to grow as a musician through the public school system in Westfield where he was an All-State jazz standout. Scott also spent 25+ years developing his chops in several drums corps throughout the Northeast and repeatedly won many individual trumpet championships. Scott attended Westfield State college on a full scholarship where he studied music. Before joining Brass Attack, Scott had his own 9-piece band, KABCompany, that achieved success in Connecticut and opened for Tower of Power in 2001. Scott has also played with SEVEN, Basically Blues, The Hornets, Whailing City, is a regular at Black-Eyed Sally's in Hartford and has been on stage with Doc Severenson, Leroy Jones and Phil Wilson to name a few.
"I have been inspired by the big horn, funk bands like Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Chicago. I'm an in-your-face horn player — you want a double G on the last note of the last set of the night, I'll rip it. There's nothing timid about my approach. I thoroughly enjoy being the high end of the Brass in Brass Attack. I was a big fan of this band long before I was a member. There is a ton of talent here. I'm grateful that the guys picked me when the opportunity presented itself." — Scott Haber
